2. Data Collection in the App

2.1 Registration & Account

When registering, we collect: email address, username, and password (stored encrypted). Optional: display name, profile picture, and bio.

2.2 Library Data

Your added media (books, movies, series, anime), status (Watchlist/Current/Finished), ratings, and notes are stored to provide your personal library.

2.3 Social Features

Friend connections and recommendations between users are stored. Your username is searchable by other users.

3. Hosting & Data Storage

3.1 Supabase

Our data is stored with Supabase (Supabase Inc., USA). The server is located in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Supabase uses PostgreSQL databases with Row Level Security. Privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy

This website is hosted by Netlify (Netlify Inc., USA). No personal data is collected through the website. Privacy policy: https://www.netlify.com/privacy/

4. Third-Party APIs

MyLibrary uses the following external APIs for media search. Only search terms are transmitted, no personal data.

4.1 Google Books API

For book search and ISBN recognition. Only search terms or ISBN numbers are transmitted. Provider: Google LLC, USA. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4.2 TMDB API

For movie and TV show search including cover images. Only search terms are transmitted. Provider: The Movie Database (TMDB). Privacy policy: https://www.themoviedb.org/privacy-policy

4.3 AniList API

For anime search. Only search terms are transmitted. Provider: AniList. Privacy policy: https://anilist.co/terms

5. Cookies

This website only uses essential cookies (e.g., language setting, theme preference). No tracking or analytics cookies are used.

You have the right to: access your stored data, rectify inaccurate data, delete your data, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing.
